Pronounced ‘kin-easy-ology’ - is concerned with muscles and meridians.
Muscles are sites where the mind and body interact, be they skeletal (helping with movement), smooth (controlling internal organs) or the heart itself. Muscles may be consciously directed, or controlled by the unconscious activity of the nervous system.
The activity of muscle is also influenced by emotions.
In exciting or dangerous situations for example, the heart muscle increases it’s activity and extra blood is diverted to the skeletal muscles to help with the body’s response.
The meridians are the interface between the physical and subtle energies. These ‘lines of energy’ have been used for thousands of years in the practice of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture.
Kinesiology utilises information from the muscles and meridians to detect physical, biochemical, mental, emotional and electrical imbalances and draws on techniques from chiropractic, osteopathy, naturopathy, traditional Chinese medicine, natural remedies and nutrition to recover health.
With the current pandemic situation, I'm not offering face to face kinesiology but hope to again when things improve.
