FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A TREATMENT?

I will ask you to complete a  questionnaire before your first appointment so that we can tailor the appointment to your health concerns and your goals.

There is no need to remove any clothing (other than shoes). You will be asked to lie on the couch (or sit if that is easier).  Wear loose, comfortable clothes because kinesiology may involve moving limbs to isolate muscles.

Your treatment will be a combination of kinesiology testing  (this is very gentle muscle testing) and bodywork, nutrition and lifestyle advice and I may recommend nutritional supplements .  You may also be given information to consider and (very easy!) homework exercises.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

One hour appointment £45
There may be an additional cost for nutritional supplements, but these would only be recommended if kinesiology testing confirmed their relevance.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NECESSARY?

You should see some improvement after the first session, but the body takes time to develop imbalances and it can take time to redress them.  There are many factors that influence the pace back to health.

WHY DO I NEED TO TAKE SUPPLEMENTS IF I AM CHANGING MY DIET?

Supplements and remedies can support specific organs, systems and emotions so natural remedies can be an essential part of the wholistic road back to health.  They will only be recommended if kinesiology testing suggests their benefit.  

The remedies  can be purchased from The Natural Dispensary online or by telephone at a discounted price.  Of course you are welcome to source your supplements elsewhere but just make sure they are the exact make and strength specified.

WHAT IF I AM ON MEDICATION?

Let your Doctor know what treatments you are undertaking in addition to your medication.  Complementary Therapies work by encouraging your body’s natural healing ability, so you may find that your requirement for medication changes and this is something you and your Doctor can discuss and revise if appropriate.

There are specific foods and herbal remedies that can have an impact on certain medicines and we would discuss this if relevant.
