There are a few different variations of therapies that encompass tapping specific locations on the body. However they all have the same goal - to create relief from symptoms through influencing the meridian system.
The meridian system is an ancient concept of 'energy lines' running throughout the body. Many complementary therapies utilise these lines of energy on the understanding that their unhindered flow is important for not only physical but mental and emotional health. The energy flow can be influenced in many ways, examples are through the use of needles in acupuncture, fingertips in acupressure, massage in shiatsu or tapping in EFT. Correcting an unbalanced flow of energy through the meridians is thought to promote a healing response and provide relief from physical, mental and emotional symptoms.
There are a number of meridians that run all over the body; each has a beginning and an end point and an association with specific body organs and systems as well as a relevance for different mental and emotional states.
Many factors can hinder the flow of energy through the meridians; physical influences may come in the shape of accidents or operations, inflammation or illness. Mental and emotional states will affect them too - periods of stress and anxiety, disappointments and life changes.
Tapping specific meridian points in a sequence on the head, face, body and fingertips whilst focusing the mind on a physical, mental or emotional state can really provide a sense of relief, peace of mind, or the ability to perceive a problem differently.
Working with an experienced EFT practitioner you can delve deeply into root causes of physical, mental and emotional symptoms and create transformational new self beliefs. This therapy is simple in concept but hugely powerful.
It's easy to carry out some basic tapping for yourself once you know the protocol and the tapping points. So here are a few short videos to explain the technique. Watch them in order left to right first, then if you want to tap along with me you'll have the concept and can go back to the tapping points video. If you'd like to explore your symptoms in greater detail then I have found tapping to be a great technique to do remotely either by phone or online. Please contact me if you'd like to explore this or to arrange an initial, 15 minute no obligation chat : sue@be-health.co.uk.
The videos explain the tapping protocol and sequence and further down the page is a diagram to remind you of the points - with many thanks to artist Anna and model Katie; beautiful and talented sisters.
